Interchurch Pre-Anniversary Fellowship

Cainta, Rizal PH - The Lord's church was full to capacity as we celebrated with other churches, brethren and guests our pre-anniversary interchurch fellowship. Despite the rainy afternoon, we had more than 100 people exclusive of children graced the occasion. The Lord has blessed us with the salvation of several souls who decided to accept him as Lord and Saviour. About 16 pastors visited us that day. Pastor Sally Malicdem preached a salvation message with follow through by Missionary to a RAN country JE (identity concealed) with a very involving and challenging message on missions.

Pastor Joel sang Gloryland and Sis. Sheila sang a hymn a ca pella.

I took picture of the church facade. Someday, this village won't contain the blessings of the Lord and we'd have to have multi level parking :)

Please continue to pray for revival and the involvement of God's members - as our theme hopes to accomplish.

Pastor's Family

Our Anniversary Theme

A Wonderful Sunday!

We had a wonderful Sunday!

The morning started out when we practiced our choir piece entitled, "And the Glory" which was a little high towards the end, but then, it was our first time to sing it.

The morning sun didn't show up that long and looks like its goin to rain. But it didn't. It was a perfect weather. We enjoyed the preaching of God's word while having a nature take care of the airconditioning. The message was about the Pastor. Our pastor preached that we should:

Pray for the man of God

Assist the man of God

Submit to his authority

Trust him

Obey him

Respect him

After the sermon, we had a little lunch fellowship since it was the birthday of Pastor Bong last Wednesday, August 15 and Tito Caesar on the 16th, while brother Chito's is on the 22nd.

It was a lot of fun, thank God for the food. Lot's of fried milkfish and pancit.

Well, our anniversary is drawing near and a lot of the commitments have come in. We really are praying for nice weather and a lot of saved people. Preparations are underway and we are excited to celebrate our 8th year anniversary.

Our goal is to have 80 visitors and 8 baptisms.

I had the design for the anniversary tarp printed and it will be ready for pick up on Wednesday.

During the afternoon service, we had a missionary guest speaker, Missionary Moore Montes - missionary to Myan Mar (formerly Burma).

He preached on the Macedonian challenge to believers. It was a real challenge.

Afterwards, we went to Chowking with our guest speaker, his wife Jane and their kid Jan Moore.

Baptist Baptism!

We had three baptisms last Sunday: James, Kristine, and Chito.

They have decided to follow the Lord in water baptism after professing faith in Christ.

After the baptism, we had a little swim, fellowship and lots of food. Fritz bought some tasty Chicken adobo and some Goldilocks goodies.

All in. Children and adults enjoyed the pool even if it is a 5ft pool.

Baptism

This coming Sunday, August 12, 2007, may we invite you to our out of town Baptism in Binangonan, Rizal. The resort will be booked for us the whole day, but we will begin using it in the afternoon.

What is Baptism anyway?

The doctrine of Baptism has brought about so much controversy throughout the ages. Churches have been divided, Chrisitians have been martyred, and much blood have been spilt because of this doctrine.

Baptism is a church ordinance. The lesson below summarises the doctrine.

ANG ORDINANSA NG BAUTISMO
John 14:15, 15:14, Matthew 28:19-20

I. Ano ang Bautismo? Baptism is an identification of one object with another. Associated. United. “Kaisa” “May kinalaman” (Romans 6:3 “baptized into Jesus Christ”, Gal. 3:26 “baptized into Christ”)

II. Bakit tayo dapat bautismuhan?a.
